Tauren Wells Taps Naomi Raine for ‘What A Miracle Feels Like’

Tauren Wells and Naomi Raine testify to the beauty of the in-between on “What A Miracle Feels Like.” The Church of Whitestone pastor enlists the former Maverick City Music vocalist for a live version of the faith-elevating track for his latest project, “Here Comes The Church.”

Choosing to sing of God’s steadfast goodness before they ever see His promises fulfilled, Wells and Raine unite their voices for an uplifting moment of praise across the soulful selection that initially appeared on Wells’ studio effort, “Breathe On It.” He wrote the soaring ballad — which Raine helped him transform into a powerful duet — with longtime collaborator Davies, respected songwriter-producer Jordan Sapp, Elevation Rhythm’s Josh Holiday and Sons of Sunday’s Steven Furtick.

During a recent sermon, Wells admitted that there’s many a miracle we would prefer not to live. “Miracles don’t show up to our lives looking like miracles,” he reasons. “Miracles show up to our lives looking like problems.” That’s why we constantly have to trust that God isn’t finished writing our stories in the midst of challenging circumstances.

Together, Wells and Raine — who performed the song at the 2026 GMA Dove Awards — wrap their harmonies around a chorus that reminds us, “The most beautiful stories come from all the broken times. So don’t lose your hallelujah. This is what a miracle feels like.”

“I love that ‘What A Miracle Feels Like’ reminds us we’re serving a God who still does the impossible. No matter what things look like today, God is faithful, and He always has the final say,” Raine asserts. “My prayer is that this song gives people the courage to believe again, to hold onto His promises and to worship Him from a place of faith — not just because they’ve seen the miracle, but because they know who He is.”

Raine recently launched her “In the Room with Naomi Raine” podcast. Meanwhile, Wells is currently headlining this fall’s “Air1 Worship Now Tour,” which runs through mid-November.
