New Song Feature: "Fall On Me" NEEDTOBREATHE feat. Maverick City Music

NEEDTOBREATHE recently tapped Maverick City Music for an all-new recording of their single, “Fall On Me.” The quintet originally captured the song for their 9th studio collection, “Caves,” with additional vocal help from country music sensation Carly Pearce. The group’s new rendering, however, effortlessly transforms the poignant ballad into a reverent Gospel selection.

With vocal assists from Maverick City Music’s Chandler Moore and Naomi Raine, the tender “Fall On Me” morphs into the choir-elevated track NEEDTOBREATHE initially dreamed up when they first crafted the emotional standout.

“When we were recording the original, we always imagined how cool the song would sound with a choir, and we’re honored to be joined by the incredible Maverick City Music on this special version,” the group shares. “We hold this song close to our hearts and can’t thank them enough for doing the same. We can’t wait for y’all to hear it.”

Penned by NEEDTOBREATHE frontman Bear Rinehart, Steven Furtick (Elevation Worship) and Jason Ingram (Lauren Daigle), “Fall On Me” was originally written as a vulnerable snapshot of dialogue between a parent and a child through the lens of a father’s unconditional love. The fresh iteration with Maverick City Music paints the personal message of the song in an entirely new light, allowing our Heavenly Father to speak the same words over us: “I ain’t ever gonna leave you / So don’t keep another secret / No, your tears aren’t a weakness / You can fall, you can fall on Me.”

NEEDTOBREATHE showcased the piano-led song during their text-to-give moment during each of their nightly shows on the fall leg of “The CAVES World Tour,” where they invited fans to join them in donating to their charitable partner, For Others. The band will continue their partnership with the foster care advocacy organization when they resume their ambitious international outing next April. An additional 26 U.S. cities are already on the books for Spring 2024 with highly anticipated overseas dates expected to follow.
