Zachary’s warm, peaceful vocal envelops the beautiful original as it speaks to the intimacy that’s waiting for us when we seek the Lord. Recognizing that God can be found in every moment, the poignant ballad truly embodies the essence of Psalm 46:10: “Be still, and know that I am God…” Meanwhile, the descriptive lyrics paint a vivid picture of a loving Father who offers a welcoming place of rest and belonging. “If my head’s on Your chest, I can hear Your heartbeat,” she sings in the first verse. “If my hand’s in Your hand, I can feel You leading.”
The bridge reveals the Texas native in a posture of full surrender as she realizes she doesn’t want to be anywhere else but in God’s sacred, life-giving presence. “I give You my seconds, my minutes, my hours, my all,” she vows. “Oh, with no holding back, I am holding to all that You are.”
“My Father’s innate nature is to be steady and secure. He has taught me what it means to be a woman who stays,” shares Zachary, who fell in love with music after learning to play the piano at just six years old. “The more aware I’ve become of His consistency, the more I have healed and feel safe to return; to stay.”
The grounding track appears on Zachary’s 13-song, full-length debut, “Rediscovery,” a personal glimpse into the rising songstress’ faith journey over the course of the past three years.
If Zachary’s soothing vocal sounds familiar, it’s because you’ve likely heard her on collaborations with a diverse range of artists, from Brian Johnson to Rave Jesus. Additionally, she was featured on a celebrated version of Patrick Mayberry’s inaugural No. 1, “Lead On Good Shepherd.”
