5 Songs To Help Worship Through 2020

2020 will go down as the year that changed everything. While we were making resolutions for clear vision, it seems like God has made other plans for this year. As we pray for teachers, nurses, grocery workers, app drivers and everyone out on the front lines fighting the good fight, please don't forget to take care of yourself with a daily worship routine.

Whether it's despite these challenges, or in spite of these challenges, worship music continues to reach an eager audience and fill the void in the lives of those who choose to worship. Over these last few months you have been through a lot. Between lockdown, becoming a teacher for the first time or something as simple as getting groceries, we can always choose to worship through it whatever "it" may be.

We’ve put together 5 worship songs to help you finish strong and get through to the end of 2020. You got this!

"The Blessing" by Cody Carnes and Kari Jobe

Cody Carnes put it so eloquently on his Instagram post: "What if we thanked Him for the blessing of 2020 instead of cursing this time? So many of us have prayed for a revival and renewal of faith, family, church and society. What a time to shake off apathy and burn with fresh passion."

"The Father’s House" by Cory Asbury

Do you remember the last time you walked in the doors of the Father's house? For many of us it's been way too long. Here's a song that captures the feeling in a fun and energetic way.

"Never Lost" by Elevation Worship

The lyrics "You can do all things, but fail" take on new meaning in light of this year. It's hard to feel like the battle is won, but worship unites us with a creator who has truly never lost. As the song says, "If you know you're on the winning side, why don't you throw your hands up in the air and lift up a shout of praise!"

"Together" by for KING & COUNTRY

Two years ago "Together" had no name, it was partially written, and would go on to miss the cut-off date for the "Burn the Ships" album. Not even Joel and Luke could have ever guessed that it would arrive exactly on time for the great need in 2020.

"Love Like Thunder" by RICHLIN

“I sat down to write a song one day and I thought man we have such a grasp on the love of God. The love of God is peaceful and it surpasses knowledge & understanding, but I wanted to write a song that talked about how forceful the love of God really is. It shakes the skies, shakes the seas and yet it’s so personal that it touches my heart, touches your heart.”  -RICHLIN
