Elevation Worship is serving up another round of praise focused on magnifying the name of Jesus with “Your Name Is God.” The slow-burning anthem features Leeland Mooring, who co-wrote the track with Elevation Rhythm’s Josh Holiday and pastor Steven Furtick.

In recent years, Mooring has become an instrumental part of Elevation Worship’s lyrical DNA. A member of the Sons Of Sunday offshoot, Mooring also penned “Thank You” from “SO BE IT,” Elevation Worship’s latest live project.
Intentionally speaking to listeners experiencing anxiety, the chorus elevates faith over fear as Mooring sings:
Your name is God, no one else beside
El Shaddai, if You don’t worry, why should I
Your name is God, author of my life
I’m trusting in Your name, God
Till the day I die
The song’s bridge showcases some of the specific names of God, which reveal His character: Prince of Peace, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Alpha and Omega.
The award-winning collective introduced the selection by offering Psalm 20:7 as inspiration: “Some nations boast of their chariots and horses, but we boast in the name of the Lord our God.”

“Your Name Is God” is one of several originals on “SO BE IT” that make the album something of a concept record. Elevation Worship’s No. 1 hit, “I Know A Name,” as well as “Jesus Be The Name,” center around a similar theme of tapping into the power found in the singular name of Jesus.
This fall, Elevation Worship will take songs from both “SO BE IT” and their extensive catalog back out on the road, extending their popular “Elevation Nights” run with stops in eight additional cities. Moreover, they were just announced as the headlining act for this year’s “Night of Worship” during Dove Week 2026. Exclusive to the Dove Awards Music City Fan Experience, the special event will take place at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, Oct. 5, ahead of the 57th annual GMA Dove Awards.
