New Song Feature: "Washed" Elevation Rhythm

Elevation RHYTHM celebrates the joy of being made new on “Washed.” The bright, buoyant single is the first release the collective has dropped since launching their third project, “Victory Lap,” in May. Written by Elevation Rhythm’s primary songwriter and producer Josh Holiday, Elevation Church pastor and visionary Steven Furtick, acclaimed artist Joe L Barnes and award-winning songwriter Mitch Wong, “Washed” celebrates freedom from shame and the things that keep us bound.

“This song has been pure joy for our youth. The message of being made clean through the cross collides with these bright, guitar-pop sonics that feel fun, free and full of life. It’s worshipful, but it also makes you want to move,” Holiday reflects. “Our hope is that people carry it like an anthem — something they don’t just sing, but believe and celebrate in their everyday lives.”

The bouncy singalong, led by Nate Diaz, follows the high of smash hit “Goodbye Yesterday (feat. Gracie Binion),” the biggest single of Elevation RHYTHM’s career to date. “Washed” feels like the perfect compliment to its megawatt predecessor, continuing to capture the sound of a technicolor life that’s been authentically changed by the love of Jesus and affirming the truth found in 2 Corinthians 5:17: “This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!”

While the melody is light and polished, the lyrics are deep and meaningful — centered on the cross and the poignant exchange that happened on Calvary — showcasing Elevation RHYTHM’s uncanny ability to fold the Gospel into four minutes of pop brilliance.

“Washed” caps a banner year for the burgeoning group, who recently wrapped their first headlining tour following a major arena outing with Forrest Frank and “Elevation Nights” dates with sister collective Elevation Worship. Additionally, Elevation RHYTHM earned performance slots at high-profile awards shows throughout 2025, alongside well-deserved nominations.

With “Washed” already added to their setlist, the buzzworthy outfit is scheduled to reprise their headlining jaunt in January 2026, with special guest Strings and Heart.
