Lexy Smith met with Heidi Naylor, Director of Family Retention for Utah Foster Care. Naylor describes being a foster parent herself, who has also chosen to adopt. Naylor details how to start the process of being a foster parent, and outlines how parenting classes offered helped her become a better parent. Naylor further explains how important it is to reunify children whenever possible, and how helping the original family is the first goal. Naylor shares how she became an adoptive mother of seven children.
