Posted on Sunday, May 4, 2025 by Jeanice Lee

Jeanice Lee talks to Norma Mendoza, Volunteer Recruitment Manager with CASA of Orange County. CASA is a Court Appointed Special Advocate who works closely with the court system to train community volunteers to advocate for children in the child welfare/juvenal justice system. CASAs report on a child’s progress and needs to a judge and other professionals so the best decisions can be made for the child’s future. There are currently hundreds of kids waiting for a CASA volunteer. Training and support are provided. Volunteers are needed. (CASAOC.org)
