Peter Kaye speaks with Marty Siederer of MAC Angels Foundation about the various resources and supports they offer individuals and caregivers effected by Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). Siederer shares a basic explanation of the debilitating disease and the progress that has been made since Lou Gehrig’s diagnosis. He emphasizes the importance of a positive attitude for both the patient and the caregiver as well as value of comradery through their various support groups. Siederer also shares how artificial intelligence serves in helping those who lose their voices being able to communicate via a device which sounds like their own voice.
