Ron Turner talks with Amy LaFauce, Director of Community Services in DuPage County at Catholic Charities, Diocese of Joliet about the homeless population in DuPage County stating the numbers are very high and have been growing each year. LaFauce discuses how their Hope House Shelter which is focused in DuPage County, they have additional services in eight surrounding Counties. LaFouce explains the biggest challenge most people have, aside from shelter, is transportation which Hope House helps to provide public transportation passes and even bicycles people can use to get back and forth to work, and other necessary chores. LaFauce talks about how Hope House is part of the larger organization, Catholic Charities, Diocese of Joliet which allows them to provide more wrap around services that families or individuals may need in their time of crisis.
