Jeanice Lee talks to Chairperson Lisa Larson with Dignity Village. Larson describes Dignity Village to be a place where the homeless help the homeless. Larson says as far as she knows they are the only city sanctioned, self-governed, self-supporting homeless small home model community in North America. Larson describes Dignity Village to be a safe place that provides shelter for 60 people in a village home model. Larson says the village provides a sense of community and support, but it comes with rules and requirements such as sweat equity to help maintain Dignity Village. Donations and tours are welcome.
