When Phil Wickham sat down to write his new book, "Everyday Hallelujah," he came away with a song too.
Wickham released the studio version of “Everyday Hallelujah” on July 24, 2026, leading his new “Everyday Hallelujah EP.” According to his label, the song emerged while he was writing his forthcoming book of the same name. As he worked through what it means to find worship in ordinary moments of gratitude, surrender and faith, those themes turned into a melody.
“Writing this song was a reminder to myself that God is worthy of our praise in every moment,” Wickham shares.
The Hidden Track That Refused to Stay Hidden
Fans first heard “Everyday Hallelujah” on March 13, 2026, as an unfinished demo buried at the end of “Song Of The Saints (Deluxe).” It sat behind a voice memo in which Wickham thanked listeners and quietly announced the book. Four months later, the finished studio recording arrived on its own EP, joined by a stripped piano take and a live version captured on the road.

A Song About the Ordinary Hours
“Everyday Hallelujah” builds its case out of normal everyday images. The lyrics move through morning skies, a child’s arms around a father’s neck and seasons that feel more like trenches than mountaintops. Every road leads to the same place: “Here’s my everyday hallelujah.”

“Everyday Hallelujah: Unlocking Deep Joy Through Everyday Acts of Worship,” written with Matt Litton, releases Aug. 11, 2026, via Nelson Books. Wickham heads back out this fall on the Song Of The Saints Tour with Chandler Moore and special guest Jamie MacDonald, opening Sept. 16 in Fairfax, Virginia.
