Sometimes we just need to be reminded of a truth we already know but have a hard time believing. That’s what the new single from LO Worship, “The Perfect Love Of Jesus,” does for listeners. The song — featuring Aodhán King — affirms we don’t have to have it all together. God offers us grace and forgiveness in abundance, and we simply can’t mess up His plan for us.
“So many of us struggle with trying to earn God’s love and approval, and this song reminds us that His perfect love chooses us, protects us and covers us all of our days. We cannot mess it up,” shares LO Worship member Kaylea Mayo Coates. “We hope this song reminds people of the grace, goodness and love of God. It’s easy to continue our Christian life and forget how far God has brought us. This song brings us back to the love of God and reminds us that it’s the reason we are here today. It’s everything to us.”
The tender ballad is led by the group’s Laela Dasher. Meanwhile, King helms the bridge, repeating a powerful refrain:
I’m loved, I’m chosen
Your arms are wide open
I could never mess it up
Serving as the musical expression for Sadie Robertson Huff’s Live Original brand, LO Worship is based in Huff’s native Louisiana, where the outfit leads worship at her annual LO Sister conference. Alongside the popular author, speaker and podcast host, LO Worship recently wrapped their first-ever tour bringing original offerings from their latest project, “Songs For The Anxious Heart,” to select cities across the U.S. At each stop, LO Worship led the music portion, while Huff delivered an inspirational message around the complimentary themes of anxiety, worry and doubt.
Prior to taking their new music on the road, LO Worship previewed the 16-track “Songs For The Anxious Heart” on A&E’s “Duck Dynasty: The Revival,” which featured footage from the live recording captured at The Hub in Monroe, Louisiana, with an intimate audience.
