Air1 New Song Feature: "Come To Jesus" Kristian Stanfill

Kristian Stanfill extends a simple, powerful invitation on “Come to Jesus.” The worship leader, best known for his work with Passion , wrote the welcoming anthem with Matthew West, Jeff Pardo and Hank Bentley following a night of revival in Tennessee.

In the spring of 2024, together with his Passion bandmates, Stanfill hosted a free night of worship at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Five thousand college students showed up, and before the evening was over, hundreds of them had surrendered their lives to Jesus.

The next day, Stanfill headed west to Nashville for a scheduled write. After telling his co-writers about the overwhelming experience, they agreed this was what they needed to write about. That’s when “Come to Jesus” was born.

“This song is about the abundant life we find only in Jesus. No one and nothing else can save us or satisfy our souls,” Stanfill affirms. “If you’re wondering if real joy and purpose and freedom are possible, they are. The Savior is waiting with arms open wide… Come to Jesus! Call His name. Come be saved!”

“Come to Jesus” appears on Passion’s latest live project, “Call on Heaven (Come, Lord Jesus).” The bridge of the song pulls lines straight from Romans 8:1-2: “So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.”

Since penning the Gospel-centric track, Stanfill has witnessed the power of a simple invitation time and time again as he led “Come to Jesus” at Passion 2025 and at every stop across this year’s “Singalong Tour” with Phil Wickham and Cody Carnes. The seasoned songwriter will continue to use the song as a catalyst to invite people into a transformative relationship with Christ on the upcoming “Grace & Glory Tour” as Passion, Carnes, Kari Jobe and pastor/speaker Louie Giglio all support Crowder in 16 cities this fall.
