When Aodhán King and Benjamin William Hastings hunkered down in a Nashville studio for 10 days to craft a collaborative album, they invited a few friends to join them in the ambitious endeavor. Charlotte, North Carolina-based artist Tiffany Hudson was passing through Music City on a rare day off tour with Elevation Worship, and King and Hastings took a chance on her availability. The longtime friends texted her at 4 p.m., and within a matter of hours, Hudson was in the vocal booth adding her signature warmth to “Yahweh,” one of 12 tracks that comprise their full-length effort, “Happy To Be Here.”

The collaborators attribute the divine timing to another “God thing” in the midst of a series of supernaturally orchestrated moments that unfolded during the compressed recording window. “When thinking about who we wanted to feature on the record, Tiff came to mind immediately, and she just so happened to be in town to jump on this song,” King shares. “Crazy how God works.”
King and Hastings penned the reverent original alongside Ben Tan and Joel Houston. Articulate, poetic verses give way to an unabashed declaration of praise on “Yahweh” as Hudson’s signature voice intertwines with that of King and Hastings. On the bridge, Hudson sings:
Who set the stars within their place
And told the oceans where to stay?
Just one Name above, just one Name above
Who chose the cross to pay our debts?
Ripped the sting right out of death?
Just one Name above, just one Name above

Hudson is one of several special guests on King and Hastings’ “Happy To Be Here.” Cody Carnes and Kari Jobe also make cameos on the album.
King and Hastings are supporting “Happy To Be Here” with a co-headline tour this summer that will take the pair of singer-songwriters to select cities primarily across the Midwest and up the West Coast as they share the stage for evenings of stories, songs and communal worship.
Meanwhile, Hudson recently released a live solo record, titled “When You’re In The Room.”
