Phil Wickham’s Latest Deluxe Edition Adds All-Star Collaborations, Live Takes and Remixes to ‘Song Of The Saints’
“Song Of The Saints,” Phil Wickham’s latest full-length project, dropped a mere six months ago; yet, the SoCal native has already debuted a deluxe version. Serving up a total of 34 tracks, the expanded effort more than doubles the size of the original release.
While the initial 16 selections that comprised the starting lineup now form the back half of “Song Of The Saints (Deluxe),” the new first act is front-loaded with collaborations elevating already solid songs. Freshly minted cut “It Really Is Amazing Grace (feat. Crowder)” kicks off the epic set. Together, Wickham and Crowder join forces to reimagine one of the most well-known hymns of all time into an upbeat anthem. Crowder premiered the standout opener earlier this year at Passion 2026.
On a new rendering of “Running To A Runaway,” a gem of a deep cut from “Song Of The Saints,” Wickham enlists Lauren Daigle to help give the soaring ballad new wings. Meanwhile, rising star Jamie MacDonald adds her soulful vocals to the poetic “Flowers.”
Another highlight includes a Gospel-flavored iteration of “God Is Good,” featuring CAIN. The sibling trio contributes an original spoken-word bridge, à la their “I’m So Blessed (Best Day Remix),” on which the award-winning group generously backs “Pastor Phil” on three-part harmony.
Elsewhere, Wickham’s close friend and frequent tourmate Brandon Lake appears on a duet version of “Able,” as well as on the previously released live take of “So So Good,” which also boasts guest vocals from Elevation Worship’s Chris Brown.
For the deluxe offering, Wickham showcases the title cut as a live recording with Chris Tomlin, captured at his “Song Of The Saints” official album release concert in Franklin, Tennessee, last fall. During the event, the pair also performed “Holy Forever,” which they co-wrote. Although “Holy Forever” is omitted from this double-disc installment, the collaborative version of “Song Of The Saints” offers listeners a powerful glimpse into the celebratory evening where Wickham debuted new music.
A song session with Christian music legend Michael W. Smith on Wickham’s No. 1 smash, “What An Awesome God,” feels fitting, considering it honors an artist — Rich Mullins — who significantly influenced both men. The song also gets the live treatment further down the tracklisting, alongside anchor selections “Homesick For Heaven” and “The King Is In The Room.”
Additionally, freshly minted original “Fear Has No Power” — a welcome addition — finds its home with a live version on “Song Of The Saints (Deluxe).” A few other recent offerings work their way into the mix as well, including the tribal-inflected “Psalm 8 (Hallé).
Some dance remixes of fan favorites, including “It’s Always Been You” from 2021’s “Hymn Of Heaven,” round out the new additions. But before “Song Of The Saints (Deluxe)” flips to its second act, Wickham briefly interjects with a surprise voice memo filled with gratitude.
“Thank you for listening, for singing along, [and] for joining me on this journey,” the award-winning artist shares in the audio message, directly addressing the listener. “This album was such a joy to make, and I hope that joy comes across and points your heart to Jesus.”
During the memo, Wickham also announces his next book, “Everyday Hallelujah,” revealing it’s scheduled to bow in August 2026 and will seek to answer the question: What does it mean to live a life of worship? The forthcoming “Everyday Hallelujah” will serve as the follow-up to Wickham’s bestselling devotionals, “On Our Knees: 40 Days to Living Boldly in Prayer” and “I Believe.”
Hidden track “Everyday Hallelujah” follows, giving fans a sneak peek at an unfinished demo of a companion song inspired by the book.
“Song Of The Saints (Deluxe)” certainly offers listeners more than they bargained for with a veritable firehose of fresh tracks. Wickham is an artist who never tires of refreshing his songs in a way that feels organic, relevant and right in the wheelhouse of what his fans are wanting.
For those looking to hear these new tracks live, they’ll have plenty of opportunities across 2026, as Wickham just announced 16 additional dates for his “Song Of The Saints” headlining arena run, which now extends into the fall.
