Kindra Ponzio talks with Krista Riggs, Library Director, Madera County Library. Riggs shares the importance of early literacy and the Red Book Bag program for kids that allows them to check it out , with 4 books inside. At the end of the program they receive the Blue bag that they keep that has books in it as well. Riggs talks about the fact that Libraries are not quiet places anymore, bustling with activities. She also tells us that they will soon have items other than books to check out, such as stand mixers, microscopes, sleds, games, etc.
