Ron Turner talks with Commissioner Bruce Thompson of the Georgia Department of Labor and Jamon Williams, Director of Business Services at Worksource Georgia about the current unemployment numbers and job opportunities available. Thompson discusses the success of the state unemployment rate being below the National average and identifies trends regarding the best job opportunities currently available. Thompson discusses the changes he is making to the Georgia Department of Labor that will help ensure its success as well as introducing their newly developed Worksource Georgia. Williams explains the difference between the two agencies and how they work together to serve the citizens of Georgia locally and statewide. Williams introduces their job search and training programs that include on the job apprenticeship programs available across the state.
