Sarah Shaver talks with Chrystal Brown-Dixon of Sierra’s Haven for New and Used Pets, serving Scioto County. Brown-Dixon says they shelter for unwanted or abandoned pets, provide an affordable spay and neuter clinic, and use education to prevent cruelty. She noted pet abandonment is increasing and asks residents to look for boxes and bags sitting by the side of the road or by a dumpster, as they may contain puppies or kittens.
