LOCAL Closer Look: Richmond Agency on Aging

Jack Church spoke with Amy Strite, Executive Director for the Capital Area Agency on Aging in Richmond, Virginia. Strite talked about the growing population of people over the age of 55 and the role the Agency plays in helping these individuals and families navigate the various programs and services offered to older people in the area. The agency has over 15 programs including everything from home delivered meals to cafes in 8 different locations where people can have a meal and also be involved in other activities. Strite also talked about legal services and help in filling out insurance and Medicare forms available from the agency.
