Peter Kaye speaks with Mike Lehet of Operation Adopt A Soldier about their unique way of showing support to our military men and women deployed around the world. Lehet shares the simple beginnings of the organization - a local serviceman writing home to his parents that he missed chocolate chip cookies! From that first box of delicious cookies in 2003 to 2023’s monthly mailings of 350 boxes of thoughtfully packaged foods, hygiene items, letters and more Lehet and his dedicated group of volunteers do their best to let our military men and women know that they are not forgotten.
