Jack Church spoke with Reverend John Gray, Executive Director for Union Mission Ministries in Norfolk, Virginia. Gray said the Mission has been around for over 130 years. The Mission first started serving homeless men but over the years has grown to also serve women and children. Gray said it starts with shelter and food but quickly they work to get people into steady employment while also sharing the gospel and moving them closer to Christ. Gray said employment is one of the most important factors in helping insure people do not end up homeless again.
