Jeanice Lee talks to Darla Olson, V.P. of Advancement with Meals on Wheels Orange County. Olson says they are the largest senior nutrition and supportive service provider in O.C. that works to reduce hunger and isolation for at risk seniors. Olson says they deliver nutritious meals 3Xs a day 5 days a week to 20 cities in O.C. Olson describes the Friendly Visitor Program where volunteers offer friendship and company to homebound seniors who struggle with isolation. The Lunch Café, provides meals to age 60+ at 23 senior centers which allows seniors to socialize and have lunch with others. Volunteers are needed.
