Jack Church talks with Kim Bracken, Foster Parent Recruitment Coordinator with Harmony Family Center of Knoxville. Bracken said the state of Tennessee is in great need for foster families with over eight thousand children currently on waiting list for families. Bracken said the process for becoming a foster parent is around 7 weeks with the basic requirements being you need to be at least 21 years of age, have been a Tennessee resident for at least 3 months, complete a background check as well as financial well being check.
