Monika Kelly speaks to Brandi Ledet, Director of Fund Development at the Houston Area Urban League. HAUL serves African-American and other minorities by mentoring youth and helping people in poverty to find housing, food, and various social services. The Houston Area Urban League has many different programs, including entrepreneurship, a center for social justice and education, education, health and wellness and workforce development and training. The Houston Area Urban League thrives on the work of volunteers and serves 10,000 people in the greater Houston area.
