Jack Church talks with Tessa May, Executive Director for Loaves and Fishes in Greenville, South Carolina. May discusses how Loaves to Fishes is not a food bank but a food rescuer. Food rescue is the practice of collecting local, edible, surplus or unsold food that would otherwise go to waste and re-distributes it to local emergency food programs. Loaves and Fishes picks up food from local restaurants and grocery stores seven days a week and delivers to partner agencies who get it into the hands of those in need.
