Ron Turner talks with Chad Pedigo, Vice President of Development for DuPage PADS in Wheaton about the homeless population in DuPage County, and how the pandemic helped the organization develop new strategies for serving the unsheltered population. Pedigo describes their expansion beyond shelter to health resources, education, basic food and hygiene products as well as transportation services. Pedigo explains their ultimate goal is to help the unsheltered either individual or family successfully find affordable permanent housing. He also salutes the many churches throughout DuPage that help provide shelter and how that has grown over the years. (www.dupagepads.org )
