Tanya Bohannon talks with John Utterbuck, Executive Director of Clare Woods Academy. Utterbuck shares how Clare Woods Academy focuses on assisting disabled youth and adults with their goal to become self-sufficient and self-directed, in personal growth, general health, education, social and emotional well-being and functional living skills. He also describes the school’s daily activities that include weather, character development, reading, spelling, and a variety of research-based reading and math materials. Utterbuck shares a story of a child and their accomplishments while attending the school.
