LOCAL Closer Look: Chrysalis Ministries (San Antonio)

Posted on Sunday, March 24, 2024 by Felipe Aguilar

Felipe Aguilar speaks with Ashley Cook, Associate Program Director (Youth), Chrysalis Ministries, about the challenges and obstacles that formerly incarcerated persons face as they attempt to re-integrate into society. Cook explains that sometimes former prisoners are released without documents needed to secure employment, apply for social service assistance or housing. Chrysalis programs help former prisoners obtain the needed documents. She also describes the Case Management, Workforce & Career Development, and Life Skills programs designed to help former inmates reintegrate successfully.
