Jeanice Lee talks to CEO of Butterfly Farms, Pat Flanagan. Located at 441 Saxony Rd in Encinitas, Butterfly Farms is dedicated to education, conservation, and research of pollinators. Flanagan shares how people can recognize a butterfly, life cycle of a butterfly, and he says that there are 150 different butterflies that call S.D. County home. Flanagan talks about the role of the butterfly and describes what we can do to protect the butterfly by starting in your own yard by being aware of pesticide use.
