Steven Theriot makes his Air1 debut with “My Heart And My Hallelujah.” The newcomer wrote the original song with Aaron Robertson, Molly Kate Kestner and Nick Bays. Determining he will praise the Lord regardless of his circumstances, Theriot declares God forever has his heart and his hallelujah as he pledges his lifelong devotion to the One who gave everything for him. His lyrics affirm his commitment to Jesus in every season of life:

In joy or suffering
Empty or overflowing
You have my heart
And my hallelujah
In the morning, in the evening
I’ll pour out all of my praise
When I’m hurting, when I’m healing
The song I’m singing won’t change
Your goodness, Your mercy
Has followed me all of my days
In the morning, in the evening
I’ll never stop bringing You praise
Heavy guitars and pounding drums lead the triumphant track; and the chorus builds to an explosive bridge as Theriot’s passionate vocal matches the intensity of the melody. The anthemic “My Heart And My Hallelujah” appears on Theriot’s inaugural EP, “Sellout,” which dropped at the beginning of October. In addition to his first radio offering, the seven-track set features collaborations with fellow worship leaders Bethany Wohrle and TEMITOPE.
Theriot is a worship leader at Destiny Worship Center in Destin, Florida, where, in addition to his burgeoning solo career, he records with his worship team under the moniker Destiny Worship Music. With a heart for the local church, he writes original music that functions as the heart cry of the congregation he serves. Influenced by respected artists like Brandon Lake and Josh Baldwin, the rising singer-songwriter grew up in Lafayette, Louisiana. He and his wife, Britney, are the proud parents of three young daughters.
