Jeanice Lee talks to Terri Akens, Sr. Director of Health Strategies at The Pink Ribbon Place Cancer Resource Center. Akens says they offer free support services such as breast prosthesis, mastectomy bras, wigs and chemo kits for people who are going through chemo. She shares they provide counseling for individuals and their immediate family members. Four support groups are provided, their Spanish support group “Esperanza para Mujeres”, “Hope for Women” for women with all types of cancer, Ovarian and Metastatic Cancer support, and the Walnut Tribe prostate cancer support group for African American men.
