Jeanice Lee talks with Carmella Reed, the Volunteer Coordinator of Columbia County Habitat for Humanity. Reed shares her opinion on what decent housing does for people overall and for local communities. She describes how they assist people with decent and affordable housing, special requirements to be considered for a Habitat home, the application process for a home, and volunteer opportunities such as assisting in building homes in which no experience is needed. Reed mentions their Ramps & Repairs program that helps provide critical home repairs. She talks about their Restore, acceptable donations and volunteer opportunities at the Restore.
