New Song Feature: "He Who Is To Come" Passion feat. Cody Carnes

Passion sets their sights on eternity on their new song, “He Who Is To Come.” The worship collective — helmed by Kristian Stanfill, Melodie Malone, Brett Younker and Chidima Ubah Craig — dropped the triumphant anthem a month before the annual Passion Conference, which saw 55,000 college-aged students from all over the world descend on Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium for three days of worship and teaching at the top of the year.

The acoustic-driven “He Who Is To Come” is led by Stanfill and Cody Carnes, who also wrote the track alongside Sean Curran. All three performed at Passion 2024. The song points to the Second Coming of Christ and the expectation described in Revelation 1:7: “Look! He comes with the clouds of heaven. And everyone will see him — even those who pierced him. And all the nations of the world will mourn for him. Yes! Amen!”

“We pray that as you hear this song, it lifts your eyes up and reminds you of the hope we have in Jesus,” the Dove Award-winning group shares about the single inspired by Revelation 21. “He is coming again to make all things new!”

Passion is set to unveil their next full-length project, “Call On Heaven,” Mar. 1, 2024, and it’s slated to feature a live version of “He Who Is To Come.” The live album was recorded in real time at this year’s Passion Conference and captures a small taste of the power, wonder and awe present in the room as thousands of young adults lifted their hands, hearts and voices in one accord.

Serving as the house band for the annual gathering, Passion has become synonymous with some of the biggest worship anthems of this generation, including “One Thing Remains,” “Glorious Day,” and most recently, “I’ve Witnessed It.”

Crowder, Brandon Lake, Phil Wickham, Kari Jobe and Brooke Ligertwood were among the array of artists who performed alongside Passion at this year’s Passion Conference. Additionally, featured speakers like Sadie Robertson Huff, Christine Caine, Ben Stuart, Levi Lusko and more shared timely talks that are now all available to rewatch on Passion’s YouTube channel.
