Jeanice Lee talks to Holly Mapusaga, future homeowner with Sisters Habitat for Humanity. Habitat mobilizes local community volunteers and partners to help build affordable homes for people in need and who qualify. Mapusaga says the process is a lengthy to qualify for a home however Habitat provides financial management and homeowner classes so people can keep their home for years. Mapusaga shares about their Home Repair program which will repair, replace, or build things within people’s home that may impact their health and safety, or who could not otherwise afford to do these repairs themselves.
