Jeanice Lee talks to Joy St. Peter, Founding Director of Joys of Living Assistance Dogs (JLAD). JLAD is dedicated to raising and training services dogs and placing them in positions of service to people living with disabilities or PTSD. Their service dogs are bred specifically for temperament and are trained by inmates in 2 of Oregon’s Correctional institutions. St. Peter says training a dog with inmates gives them a purpose and a way to give back to the community.
