Peter Kaye speaks with Paul Burke of Brooklyn Adult and Teen Challenge about their one-year Christ-centered approach to overcoming addiction. Brooklyn Adult and Teen Challenge is the original Teen Challenge started in 1958 by Don Wilkerson. Burke discusses how though the face of addiction may have changed since Teen Challenges’ inception; the core elements of the program are as relevant today as they ever were. Burke defines addiction as an outward manifestation of inward issues and explains how the spiritual element of the program is key to its’ impressive 85 percent success rate.
