Ron Turner talks to John Moore, Program Director of the Children and Adolescent program at Serenity Behavioral Health Systems about identifying and determining treatment for mental health disorders. Moore explains there is better awareness today as opposed to thirty years ago due to more people feeling comfortable to discuss the topic. Moore talks about the importance of getting treatment as soon as someone recognizes a mental health issue and identifies the various symptoms and behaviors that suggest there may be a mental health issue that requires further investigation for treatment. Moore discusses the various programs available from Serenity Behavioral Health Systems that cover a wide range of ages and disorders. Moore explains the earlier someone can begin treatment the better and that some cases may only require a little time while other issues could have more long-term treatment solutions.
