Leaders and believers across the nation will come together this Saturday, September 26, in Washington D.C. for “The Return: National and Global Day of Prayer and Repentance,” a Biblical Sacred and Solemn Assembly to call for national restoration and revival. Initiated by Jonathan Cahn and Kevin Jessip, “The Return” will unite people to participate in this global movement within the church to humble themselves, repent, and lift each other in prayer for God to forgive our sins, heal our land, and for the return of America toward God.

America has in great measure departed from God and His ways. We have forgotten the rock upon which we were founded. In many instances we have removed God from our public squares, our culture, and our lives. It is written in the Scriptures that righteousness exalts a nation but sin is a reproach to any people and, further, that the ways of unrighteousness lead to judgment.

However, the Scriptures also set forth that God is love and abounding in mercy and that all who come before Him to seek for His mercy will find it – and that in repentance and return will come forgiveness, salvation, healing, revival, and restoration.

“If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14 ESV)

Believers, buses, and churches will come from all over America to the National Mall to be part of it. But “The Return” will not be limited to those who come. All believers throughout the nation can take part in this sacred biblical assembly and prophetic event. “The Return” will be simulcast on a multitude of television stations and streamed over the web, so anyone can take part in their churches, their communities, their cities, and in their homes.

Beyond that, “The Return” is an international and global event. Believers from all over the world will be taking part by simulcast and streaming as they hold their own version of “The Return” in countries in Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa, and more.

WHO: “The Return” co-chairs, Jonathan Cahn and Kevin Jessip, organized this call to prayer and repentance.
