Jeanice Lee meets with the Executive Director and Co-Founder of the BumbleBee Foundation, Heather Donatini. We learn the story behind the BumbleBee Foundation which is to provide support to pediatric cancer families. Heather talks about the significance of the name BumbleBee. We learn the impact this non-profit has made in the community in most recent years and the mission behind their work. Nationwide we learn how many children are diagnosed with cancer and who the kids and families are that this non-profit serves. Heather shares about their different programs such as their BEEday card, Kelli's Wagons, BEEpacks (basic necessities), Spring Baskets, Holiday BEEs and we learn how BumbleBee Foundation helps support families through their patient aid programs which helps families with things such as gas card, help with rent, medical bills. etc. Heather talks about the different ways people can help support BumbleBee Foundation and how people can volunteer.
