About Sean and Mandy
Sean: I'm a bachelor (ask him about the time he tried out for ABC’s “The Bachelor") hailing from the tiny farm town of Wolf Lake, Illinois.
Mandy: I am married (my wonderful husband's name is Rod) - we have 2 boys, Jack and Owen who are the greatest kids in America!
I am also the oldest of 6 kids...born in Cleveland, Ohio lived there 12 years and then my family moved to Winona, MN where they remained until I was almost finished with college...
TV character I adore
Sean: Jerry Seinfeld.. I see so much of myself in him.. I like cereal and enjoy making random observations (i.e... so, what's the deal with cereal?!)
Mandy: Matlock...seriously - Andy Griffith is the best
Favorite movie genre:
Sean: I love documentaries, but my fav movie of all time is Groundhog Day. It was filmed in my home state (Illinois), it's set in my favorite season (winter), it features romance (my obvious shortcoming), and accuntuates dry humor (my specialty).
Mandy: I like Chick Flicks - I am woman enough to admit it....but honestly my tastes change depending on the week I have had. Sometimes I want to see a comedy - sometimes a suspenseful thriller sounds good...just depends on my mood.
If you could have lunch with any three people, who would they be?
Sean: My parents, my grandma Becky, and the Burger King guy (but not at Burger King.. I'd take him to McDonald's or In N Out.. because it'd make people talk). Yes, I realize that's 4 people.
Mandy: I would choose Jeff Buckley, my Grandpa Carr and Amelia Earhart...I did a report on her in middle school and so I have always been fascinated...I miss my Grandpa - he has been gone 10 years now and I have always loved Jeff Buckley...totally random
How were you as a kid?
Sean: I was a dork -- shocker! Seriously.. I looked like a TV weatherman in the 4th grade (glasses, hair parted down the middle, and a tie). One of my favorite childhood memories is having a line in a TV commercial and butchering it no less than 73 times. Now look at me.. I've made an entire career out of not talking good :)
Mandy: I was ALL drama as a kid...can you imagine? I think I am still a bit dramatic...okay a lot dramatic! I have GREAT memories from childhood...Christmas at the Prusha house though...every single year was something special. My mom is the BEST at creating Christmas traditions...seriously, she should write a book.
If given complete freedom to start afresh, what profession would you choose and why?
Sean: I would choose radio again, but I'd probably finish my college degree before diving in.. at this point, I'm half of a middle school social studies teacher.
Mandy: I always wanted to be a Broadway star...the ship has sailed on that one...so I may choose that....but I have also always had the heart to be a pediatric nurse so it would be a nurse or a Broadway star...but honestly - I think I have the best job ever right now...that is a good feeling to have!
How would you spend a day if you skipped work?
Sean: Well, first of all, I would NEVER skip work ... you hear that, boss ... NEVER! But if I made prior arrangements and a had a day off pre-approved, then I'd start by sleeping in until after the sun rises -- that'd be a nice treat... then I'd spend the rest of the day with friends. For me, fun is less about what you do and more about who you do it with!
Mandy: I would be in sweatpants all day!
What is your favorite time of the day?
Sean: Bed time. I kind of have a split personality on this, I'm a morning guy.. if night guy doesn't stay up too late... but invariably night guy stays up way too late, which ruins morning guy's day.
Mandy: Naptime ... its the best ... I always tell my boys SOMEDAY you will appreciate naps like Mommy and Daddy do..naps are straight from heaven
Name one person whom you love the most:
Sean: I'm an only child and I'm single ... moving on! :)
Mandy: I love Jesus the most...after that - people get offended if I make a list so I ain't gonna do it :)
Ashton: I'm definitely blessed to be married! Luckily for me, my wife Sarah doesn't mind having 2 kids, our daughter Kylie & Myself! I grew up minutes away from the water in the Tampa Bay area down on the gulf coast in Florida... ahhh palm trees & Buccaneer football!!
Ashton: I'll probably get some heat for this one, but Homer Simpson. I mean he's a bumbling goof who means well, but sometimes finds himself in over his head or simply out of his league! (I can relate!)
Ashton: I love to laugh, so it's gotta be the comedies... unless I'm feeling dangerous, then I'll watch the Bourne trilogies!!
Ashton: The 2 guys that appear in the Sonic Drive-In commercials (google 'em!) and Michael Scott... I dont think lunch could ever be any more comically awkward!!
Ashton: I was the kid in class constantly being told to be quiet & use my "inside voice." ...surprise, surprise!! Ha! I loved the summer months, and when I wasn't riding my bike out to the piers & beaches, we'd pack into my Mom's 1984 Chevette and roadtrip!
Ashton: I really LOVE what I'm blessed to do, and I've had sooo many different jobs, like too many to list here, but if I could get paid to travel with no real objective, I'd be in heaven!!
Ashton: I like to be random, and get bored rather quick... (it's taken me over an hour to get to this question) so what ever it is, it's gotta be fun & entertaining! I dig music, and love the atmosphere of live shows packed out, so let's roll out to a show and sing our lungs out! I'll bring the Redbull!!
Ashton: I am ABSOLUTELY a night guy! I love being able to sleep past 10 in the morning and for some reason even infomercials are interesting at 4 am! Thank goodness for 24 hour restaurants!! ...I'll have the Super Bird please!!
Ashton: I have to say, my little girl! She blows me away!!
Bonus Question: What is your fav place on earth?
Ashton: I always thought it'd be cool to crab fish in Alaska! ...and my wife says I watch too much Discovery Channel... pffft!
