In this Behind The Music feature, singer/songwriter Zach Williams reflects on how his new song “Chain Breaker” has a direct connection with his own life:

“I'm thinking about the first verse. It says, 'If you've been walking the same old road for miles and miles. If you've been hearing the same old voice tell the same old lies.' That was just such a part of my life for years, just dead end road after dead end road,” Zach says. “I've conquered it. But it's been through Jesus and not my own doing ... He broke all those chains that I had basically given myself.”

Speaking about the song's name and the potential impact “Chain Breaker” could have, Zach says:

“I'd been doing prison ministry at my church, and I thought, 'What a cool title - what an awesome thing to say about what God's doing in my life and what He can do in other people's lives.'”
