Connect with Lifehouse

Easily one of the most popular pop music acts of the 2000’s, Lifehouse’s origins actually began in church. Before serving as the band’s lead singer, Jason Wade, the son of two missionaries, actually led worship at the Vineyard Church in Malibu.

After Jason’s first band Blyss called it quits in the late ‘90s, Jason eventually set his sights on a broader audience with a new band called Lifehouse. Fusing spiritually charged lyrics with an anthemic pop/rock sound, the group’s debut single “Hanging by a Moment” made an instant—and lasting—impression on Top 40 radio. In fact, it actually ended up being the “Most Listened to” song of 2001.

While no other singles have quite matched the enduring success of “Hanging by a Moment,” Jason and his revolving line-up of musicians have still produced an impressive catalog of songs that have connected with the masses. The band's resume includes its latest hit pop single “All In,” the romantically charged “You And Me,” and “Everything,” a worshipful reminder of the Giver of all good things that was used in the pilot and season finally of Warner Brothers drama “Smallville.”

Other tracks including “Spin” and “Take Me Away” have explored the complexities of life in an increasingly complicated world. Thanks to Jason’s poetic lyrics along with the sheer catchiness of Lifehouse’s ever-evolving sound, these songs have been used to pack an emotional punch in both TV shows and movies. They have been featured in key scenes in ABC's “Grey’s Anatomy,” CBS's “Criminal Minds,” and the movie "The Time Traveler’s Wife."

However, even with a number of professional accolades to his credit, Jason says he’ll never step back from the faith that’s always been the anchor in his life. In an interview with Cross Rhythms, an online publication in the United Kingdom, Jason shares, “I’ve come to grips with the fact that pretty much every song I write is going to be inspired by my beliefs.”
