Each member of Finding Favour learned about Jesus at a young age and each also felt a calling to music ministry. After performing at youth camps across the country, the band signed a record deal, and quickly gained momentum with their first single, “Slip On By,” off their self-titled debut album.

"Once in awhile you hear a special song that immediately takes you somewhere," said fellow artist and Gotee Records co-founder and president TobyMac. "It causes you to think and feel. And without preaching at you, it reminds you of the things that really matter. 'Slip On By' by Finding Favor is one of those songs. It grabbed my heart and stirred some emotion in me that made me want to live differently."

Consisting of Blake Neesmith (lead singer), Dustin Daniels (bass/guitar/vocals), Josh Duckworth (drums) and Allen Dukes (guitar/vocals), the band aims to make music that inspires listeners in every aspect of their lives.

“This is where God's been leading us for years and now we know we're home," Blake says. "We pray that our hearts and songs will shine bright into the darkness and together make an extraordinary difference!"

Sometimes, making a difference becomes very personal.

In 2015, God used a song they'd just finished for their new album Reborn to comfort Dustin and his wife after a devastating loss. The song, "Cast My Cares," comes from the message found in 1 Peter 5:7: "Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you." With obvious emotion, Dustin shares some of their story, "My wife and I were recently expecting a baby. Unfortunately, it didn't turn out the way we wanted it to. He lived for three days. Passed away May 1." The loss impacted the entire band and they hold onto His promises during this time.

Several songs from the album are anthems to the promises of God including "Say Amen", "[The song] is a reminder of God's undying faithfulness," Blake says. "He'll never leave us. He'll never forsake us. So let us take the good and the bad and remember that God has a purpose and a plan. In the fire, in the storms, or even in the calm we can stand and Say Amen!"
