I have a pretty good youth group that I attend a few times a month. Hilarious director, and really good message.

But yeah I'm not very social. I just can't seem to talk to people very well. And when I finally get enough nerve to say something, the conversation lasts not even a minute. But I think I've learned to live with it. So it doesn't really bother me that much. It only bothers me when everyone else around me is talking and I'm not. Cause I really don't like it when everyone seems to be talking to someone and I'm just standing there watching. Although you know the old saying Children are seen not heard.

And L.O.C I love to write stories and create characters, that is probably my favorite part

I KNOW!! There have been several times when my sister and I will be talking about how old we're getting and its just SCARY.
I'm gonna be fifteen this year, and I started highschool last year! Its amazing to me how time flies. We're practically half way through the year already.

I KNOW!!! BEFORE WE KNOW IT, we are all gonna be married with families and jobs.... Life flies too fast sometimes... I wish I could still be a little 10 year old girl who doesn't have to worry about school being strenuous and who doesn't need to worry about boys and dances...

Don't freak me out even more Em! One step at a time I had a hard time thinking that I was in Highschool. There are times when I just want to stay young and not worry about all the things that grown ups do.

i love school... well not the  work, but i get to meet a ton of people and do things i wouldn't be able to if i were home schooled. no offence, but what do you do when ur home schooled? i mean like in our class there's like the class clown, the jock, the preppy girls, the people who don't care etc...but like what do u get to do when it's just u and a book/computer????

I haven't known anything besides being Homeschooled, so I'm used to it.
I don't mean to sound rude or anything, but I've always been frightened of Public School. I feel safe at home doing my school. And I am forever grateful to my parents for not putting me or any of my other siblings there And I think that if my family wasn't Homeschooled we wouldn't be as close as we are.

i go to a private Christian school, but it's real pretty big. our family is really close

Yep Cody alot of us are thirteen haha, I worry because I've only lived here for 2 and a half years... Even though I've met a whole bunch of people, they all go to school together so I don't always understand what they talk about... and they all go to dances and stuff together So I'm just worried that I might not get asked out by guys to dances and stuff so I won't ever quite understand what they talk about and do i guess...

i went to a "dance" just last week. well it wasn't an official dance. #factaboutme i'm not the greatest dancer and when 90% of the boys don't even come up to ur shoulder it's knida hard to dance but it was fun anyway

Most of the people I've met are Homeschooled, and we've usually met with something that has to do with homeschooling. But I rarely see them.
Em I wouldn't worry about not being asked to a dance by a guy. I'm sure that if God wanted a boy to ask you, he would bring the right one

What's happening Cody, yeah I'm 15 and have got a bunch on me also.  I've got about one more week of school (I take classes and homeschool both, I basically have a bunch of collage professors teaching me and about 9 other friends at the same time haha.

Actually I've had friends tell me the work that my group does is far more than most public and private schools assign.
We do Latin, Logic and all the good stuff haha.
For the rest of the week I do what I want as long as I get the stuff done before the next class day.
But no, I really don't know what grade I'm in, if I went to a public school they'd probably bump me down to kindergarden.
This minute brain of mine doesn't take up too much space in my big head haha.

haha, I'm taking Latin because my mom said it'll help with sciences since I want to become a vet... though I don't quite see how learning about Romans slaughtering the Gauls and filling rivers with dead men is really going to help me

It actually is the fact that all scientific names are latin.
Latin is a dead language so it never changes and that's imperative for things like scientific terms.
Cool that you want to be a vet, I thought about it once.
Kept a whole bunch of critters haha.

Gunnar do you do Classical Conversations? Cause that's what my older brother, sister Samantha and me did this year. Only we did it at home, and were taught by my Mom. We did Latin, Biology, History, English Literature, Logic and Math. And we're done for this year besides Math.
I thought that same thing Em. I really started not to like the Romans, and wished that the Gauls would stand up for themselves and conquer.

Yes my group does Classical Conversations. Although we have and use different textbooks and stuff.
The only thing we really use from that program is the memory work thing. (which I despise immensely lol).
We're doing a complete review of ALL the memory work leading up to the end of school, and it's too much fun lol.

Yeah the Romans kinda disappointed me haha, I kinda like the Aztecs.
My favorite historical character is General George S. Patton of WWII.

before. And I don't go to public
school, but if I did I'm not sure I would go to the dance anyway. I have NO IDEA how to dance. ;)
So I'd probably end up on the ground.

My Mom based what we did off of the Guide. What level are you in? Since we didn't do it with other people and that's what my older siblings were doing, my Mom put me in Challenge 2. This year we researched artists and composers. If you've done the same thing who was your favorite person to look up Gunnar? I don't really have a favorite composer, but my favorite artist is Thomas Cole. He's PHENOMENAL!!!

I use Seton Home Study What Latin books do you guys use?? I'm using Henle Latin lol, @Gunnar I'm in it all for the critters!!! Next saturday we are getting another dog!!! SOOOO PUMPED!

public schools are really easy. their AP classes are as easy as my eight grade english class (which on the harder side) i hate Latin!!

Me and my family have a Jack Russel Terrier mixed with a Jack Russel Toy, and some another dog but I'm not sure what he is, my eldest bro found him one day.

I wasn't exactly sure what the differences between a Collie and a Border Collie were. So I looked it up and I saw an adorable picture of a Border Collie puppy!

I think I'm just over five feet. I was told ever since I was a little girl that I would be tall. Then just a few years ago my Mom told me I wasn't going to be. So you can imagine how upset I was. But I'm taller than Samantha, my Mom, and I'm as tall as my oldest sister All of us girls are short, but I know for sure that my youngest sister is gonna be tall

I have a friend who is just a couple inches under me and she's about to be 15

I have a friend who is a 6'3 twelve year old. he also weighs 350. he gets around fine.

@Gunner, u do cross country?? that's awesome!! i'm a terrible long distance runner, but i like sprints and of course BASKETBALL!!!!!!!!!! i haven't been in the wight room in ages, but i still workout alot, i'm focusing on basketball so maybe i could make varsity next year

I haven't run any organized races but there's a long cross country style road around our small lake that I try to do at least a mile a day on haha. Doesn't always work out though lol.
Very busy most of the time.

@kriss, I'm ok at sprints but you could probably beat me, I do distance runs, only occasionally sprinting.

And no, I don't do the weight rooms, I have dumbbells and I do a variety of different pushups crunches etc.
Used to use a 'Total Gym; machine but we moved and have yet to move it to our new home haha.
