What Are You Ashamed Of?

It’s so easy to get caught in the trap of being ashamed of what we believe in. But the guys from Newsboys have it right in their song “I’m Not Ashamed.” They’re not afraid to talk about Jesus and shine his light.

“I'm not ashamed to let you know
I want this light in me to show
I'm not ashamed to speak the name of Jesus Christ”

So, what keeps you from stepping out, unashamed of your faith?

I am not ashamed im a new believer i play for the national champions tyler junior college mens soccer team and I know god is miracles for everyday i take my bible everywhere my teammates think im crazy but i believe ever sense i was saved 3 weeks ago my life has been free of darkness and guilt happy to be with god for i know he has plans for us all.

I'm ashamed when I feel hate and anger. This is usually when I forget to "love my enemies", but then I feel even more ashamed for thinking of them as my enemies because they aren't really. When I realize this I pray for them.

I am ashamed that as hard as I think I am trying to be a serving child of God, a good Christian, a worthy friend and family member to those who surround me, I feel that I always fall short, and that I simply cannot find my way to walk in His way... it is my main goal in life, and yet with all the tools at my disposal I am failing- pray as I might... how do I learn how to overcome these shortcomings?
