...what does Forgiven mean to you?

Sanctus Real has a new album coming out February 2010, but you can already hear their new song Forgiven on Air 1!

"Forgiven came from an instance when we were talking honestly as a band about feeling the wear and tear of our insecurities.  At the end of the conversation, we realized that no matter what we are or what we've done in this world, to other people, or even to ourselves, what we truly are and will always be is "...a treasure in the arms of Christ."

It's so hard to see past our weakness and failures sometimes, or rather the things WE think are weakness and failures.  They can corner us...trick us into believing we can't be used effectively by God.  But God's strength is perfected in our weakness (2nd Corinthians 12:9)...It's when he can use us most!

The message we hope to convey in this song is this:
We'll always have weakness.  We'll always make honest mistakes.  It's part of being human.  God's great promise though is that we can always run into his arms, and we'll always be Forgiven."

What does this song mean to me? This song was meant for me. I really believe that this song truly was written so that me among others would hear it. "I don't measure up to much in this life, well im a treasure in the arms of Christ" That helps me everytime. So many times I get discouraged because im sinning, or I feel alone. I need something to say that im forgiven and that God is always here with me. I just recently started a life on my own, and that makes temptations a lot more harder to say no too. But I know that I am my strongest when I hear how merciful my God is. This song shows me that I will never mess up to much that I wont be forgiven. This song helps me realize that nothing in this world is worth conforming too, and that if I happen to believe for a second that it is. That God will forgive me when I find my way back.

My sister cries everytime she hears this song she loves it. She learned the words the first week it was on the radio,she said the first she heard it that its like God meant it for her.

I cry also everytime I hear this song, it always seems to come on the radio at times I really need it. I feel God is speaking to me and I cant help but smile and just praise his name.
