A day in the life of a Skillet tour

Skillet's down to their last few shows on the Comatose Tour, along with tour buddies Disciple and Decyfer Down. Whether or not you got to see the tour, they've condensed a "Day in the life of a Skillet show" down to this 4 minute video set to Skillet's "Those Nights".  You know what? The production/sound/light guys look like they're doing all the work and the bands just show up and play! It's the Rockstar life, baby!

Tenth Avenue North dad-to-be's honesty

Mike Donehey, the lead singer of Tenth Avenue North, and his wife Kelly, are expecting a baby ... girl! They just found out they're having a girl, and Mike is, well, nervous! He's excited, too, but in his latest blog he went completely honest and shared:

"... my wife is pregnant.  We're going to have a baby girl, and I have never been more profoundly aware of the fact that I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing. I really don't.  I mean, I'm sure I put a good front, and seem very composed at times, but deep down, I really am absolutely clueless.  To quote Foreman, I'm an 'amateur lover, with amateur friends.  We don't know what we're doing, let's do it again.' I have no idea how to communicate with females in general, let alone raise one of my own."

That made me laugh! My hubby and I are expecting baby #2 and honestly, he's terrified that the baby we're having might be a girl! I'm like "what's the big deal?" We're not that hard to deal with, right?!

OK, don't answer that if you're a guy.

But seriously, I'm sure my hubby, Mike and you (if you're a daddy-to-be) will do a great job at being a Dad, as long as you put God first. Mike shares some more honest thoughts about that in his blog. Enjoy!

New Needtobreathe album coming August '09!

Joe the drummer (of Needtobreathe) says their new album "The Outsiders" is ready to go ... almost! The songs have all been recorded and mixed, they took cool new pics of the band and now they're in what they call the "waiting room". Just waiting for the album release date. According to Joe, it'll be somewhere near the end of August. And Joe says the guys are "...very excited to start playing the new songs!"

Needtobreathe will post samples of their new songs on myspace.com/needtobreathe so you can check them out soon.

AND ... they're scheduled to appear this Wednesday morning, May 20th, on the Air 1 Morning Show with Scott and Kelli! Don't miss them LIVE in the Air 1 studio!

The Almost & Relient K swapped what?

So what are they swapping? Band members? Songs? Toothbrushes? Ewww, definitely not! Actually, both bands are recording new albums in the same studio in Franklin, TN. And since between them, they have more gear and equipment (see: guitars, amps, etc.) than we could possibly imagine, they've been nice to each other, swapping gear in and out of the studios.

What would a combo Relient K/The Almost album sound like? Who knows? For now, the guys are just swapping gear. Maybe they'll swap toothbrushes if they ever go on tour together. :)

Oh, and don't forget to check out this video update of a new song by The Almost (it took them 30 minutes to record he word "hey"!) (and Aaron's voice sounds AMAZING!) (OK, go watch the video!)

Plumb has a new album coming this fall! Yay!

I love Plumb! I'm very excited about a new Plumb album that's coming out this fall. "Beautiful History" has a couple of new songs, plus amazing remixes of Plumb faves like "In my arms", "Stranded", "Damaged" ... but if you're like "who's Plumb?" you've probably heard her songs on Air 1. Or you could've heard Plumb songs in movies like "Drive Me Crazy" with Melissa Joan Hart and "Brokedown Palace" with Claire Danes and Kate Beckinsale.

And if Plumb still doesn't sound familiar (really?), you can listen to her music player on myspace and see what you think. You might be excited about her new album comin' this fall, too!
