The new discovery of an old David Crowder book

Yesterday I felt like reading. If you're anything like me, you have a ton of books you don't even know you have. Books people have given to you, or books your friends left behind, or books you bought and said "I'll read it later". So yesterday, I browsed my bookshelf and found a David Crowder book called "Praise Habit: Finding God in Sunsets and Sushi".

I'm not into Sushi at all, but I was curious about what David Crowder had to say, so I picked it up and started reading. What a cool book!

Who knew David Crowder spent a whole 5 minutes on getting his hair to look like that!  (He mentions it in the book.)

And who knew he picks up donuts for breakfast? And I definitely didn't know he found the challenge of holding one's breath entertaining and challenging. And somehow this all has to do with praising God. I'm still reading, and so far, he's making me re-think how often I praise God and if it's really a habit of mine. Good stuff to think about. I'm glad I made that new discovery of the old David Crowder book. Dude, write some more!

What band's makin' fun of Air 1?

It's Above the Golden State! They're sort of making fun of Air 1, but they're fans, so we forgive them. They're hanging out at Starbucks with Scott and Kelli from the Air 1 Morning Show in this video. And you can't miss the one guy lip synching to Avril Lavigne. Hilarious!

New Skillet album photoshoot ... and the un-official Air 1 song of the week

I hereby officially declare that the "un-official Air 1 song of the week" is ..."Hero", the new one by Skillet! Wow, I have had people e-mail me, tweet me, message me on Facebook, and call the Air 1 studio to request the song (thankfully nobody thought of writing it on my car in shoe polish.) I agree, it ROCKS, but I had no idea it was going to have that kind of an effect on people! Ok, we get it, we'll definitely be playing more of it on Air 1 so keep listening. :)

To answer another question many of you had, the new Skillet album "Awake" (yes, the one that has "Hero" on it!) is scheduled to come out August 25th. Not that I'm counting the days or anything (but that's just 88 days away.)

So, as we're counting down those 88 days, check out these pics of Skillet's photoshoot for the new album. Can't wait to see more!!

The Wrecking / P.O.D. connection

So, what's the connection? Mark "Traa" Daniels, one of the founding members of P.O.D., just signed a new management agreement with The Wrecking. Traa experienced the mega growth of P.O.D., going from selling almost 40,000 copies of their first album, to nine million albums sold to date, movie soundtracks, and worldwide tours. So he'll know just what to do to help The Wrecking get to the next level. Traa works with Ryot Entertainment, and he'll be able to help the guys from Maine production, management, grass roots promotions, touring and lots more! I can't wait to see what's next for them!
And you know what, we don't really have to wait that long to see what's next for The Wrecking! June 2nd they're releasing a Special Edition Digital version of their debut album "A New Abolition". It will include the eleven original songs, plus three live versions AND (I'm really excited about this part) two covers of "Lost" by Coldplay and "Get On Your Boots" by U2The Wrecking ROCKS!
In case you hadn't seen their version of U2's "Get On Your Boots", check it out. It was recently named one of the top 50 music videos on You Tube!
