NEW TFK and Britt Nicole music on Air 1

This is just to get your ears excited ... we'll be playing some great NEW music, starting Monday on Air 1!

You'll hear Thousand Foot Krutch's Forward Motion from their upcoming album, Welcome to the Masquerade, in stores this fall. TFK lead singer, Trevor McNevan, explains the meaning of the song as,

"realizing the importance of working together to accomplish change. We all need to put our differences aside and truly rely on God."

Plus, we also have the new Britt Nicole single The Lost Get Found, the title track to her new album, in stores, August 11th. In her own words, she says the song is

"...simply about being who we are called to be as Christians, and through that, seeing the lost get found. I believe that when we become who we are called to be, the lost will come to know God. They will see that God is real, and that His love is greater than any problem, any fear, any sickness."

We'll officially add these songs to the Air 1 playlist on Monday, but listen Friday (um, yeah, tomorrow) for their debut on Air 1!

Much love and SPF,

Sterling

Want Downhere to write you a song?

This is SO COOL!!! Downhere is one of the bands we play on Air 1. Can you imagine the guys in the band sitting down to write a song, personally and specifically and ONLY for YOU? (insert excited fan scream!!) I love it! They have all the details on their website, but the deal is, you have to be very creative (make a t-shirt, submit a picture, etc). Get creative! And I hope you win!! :)

The Wrecking on New Moon?!

How cool would that be--that a song by The Wrecking shows up on the soundtrack for the next "Twilight" movie, "New Moon"? They need 10,000 votes to make it happen. Check out this montage of "Twilight" pics with The Wrecking's "Our Feet Don't Touch the Ground" and if you want to vote, check out the site they set up especially for this: The Twilight Song.

New Jimmy Needham video!

Thanks Julie, for the reminder that I was going to post this video on the blog when it came out. In case you missed an earlier post about Jimmy Needham, the guy who directed this video, Chris Corrado, was assistant director for major motion pictures like the latest Indiana Jones and Charlie Wilson's War. Pretty cool that he also directed this one, Jimmy Needham's "Firefly".

Here's more about the video from Jimmy himself:

"The entire video was shot in LA in this very vibey coffee shop. I was excited to have the video take place there because in a way, it was reminiscent of my roots. As some of you know, my earliest shows were in coffee houses and bars near my college campus. So, there was a bit on nostalgia for me to do this shoot where we did. Some might be wondering, "Since this song is about your wife, is she in the video?" Yes! Kelly does make a surprise cameo appearance on screen, but only the savvy will spot her."

Check it out and see if you can spot Kelly!
